Al-Mu’izz —
The Bestower of Honor
Root: ع-ز-ز — To honor, to make mighty
Category: Names of Power & Sovereignty · In the Quran: 1 time
Meaning — English
Al-Mu’izz gives honor, might, and dignity to whomever He wills. True honor belongs only to Allah, and He shares it with whom He wills (3:26). No human being can grant real honor — they can only give social recognition, which is as unstable as their approval.
In Daily Life
When you compromise your values to gain people’s approval, you are seeking honor from those who cannot give it. Al-Mu’izz is the only source of honor that actually matters.
