Reason: Condemned alongside her husband in Surah Al-Masad (111:4-5) as the carrier of thorns who will carry a rope of twisted fiber in Hell
Story — English
Wife of Abu Lahab and sister of Abu Sufyan. She would carry bundles of thorns and scatter them in the path where the Prophet ﷺ would walk, to hurt his feet. When Surah Al-Masad was revealed condemning her, she came to the Prophet ﷺ carrying a stone and said she had heard Muhammad was mocking her. Abu Bakr was with the Prophet — the Prophet sat silent, and she could not see him even though he was there. She is described in the Quran as carrying the fuel (firewood/thorns) in this world and will carry a rope of twisted fiber around her neck in Hell.

ابو لہب کی بیوی جو نبی ﷺ کے راستے میں کانٹے بچھاتی تھی۔ قرآن نے ‘حمالۃ الحطب’ — کانٹے اٹھانے والی کہا (111:4)۔ جہنم میں رسی گردن میں ہوگی۔
