Al-Afuww effaces sins entirely — not just forgives and covers (like Al-Ghafur) but wipes clean as if they never existed. Aisha رضي الله عنها was taught: ‘Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa’fu anni’ — the chosen du’a for Laylatul Qadr.

العفو گناہ مٹا دیتا ہے — چھپاتا نہیں، مٹا دیتا ہے۔ لیلۃ القدر کی دعا: ‘اے اللہ تو العفو ہے، معافی کو پسند کرتا ہے، مجھے معاف کر دے’۔
