Reason: Killed his brother out of envy; committed the first murder; burdened with the sin of all who follow his method (5:30-32)
Story — English
Son of Adam whose sacrifice was not accepted while his brother’s was. Instead of correcting himself, he gave in to envy and killed Habil — the first murder in human history. He did not know what to do with the body until a raven showed him by scratching the ground. He said: ‘Woe to me! Have I failed to be like this raven and bury my brother’s body?’ He became remorseful. The Quran establishes: whoever kills an innocent person, it is as if he killed all of humanity. Whoever revives one person, it is as if he revived all of humanity. Qabil bears the sin of every murder committed from his day until the Day of Judgment.

آدم کا بیٹا جس کی قربانی مقبول نہ ہوئی۔ حسد میں بھائی کو قتل کیا — پہلا قتل۔ کوے سے دفن سیکھا۔ پچھتایا۔ قیامت تک ہر قتل کا بوجھ اس پر ہے (5:32)۔
