Reason: Refused to prostrate to Adam out of arrogance; declared enemy of humanity until Day of Judgment (7:11-18)
Story — English
A jinn (not an angel) who had risen to the rank of angels through worship. When Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam, Iblis refused — saying he was made of fire and Adam of clay, fire being superior. Allah expelled him. He asked for respite until the Day of Judgment and was granted it. He then declared he would mislead humanity from every direction. His fundamental sin was arrogance (kibr) — the first sin in creation. He admitted Allah’s existence and power but allowed pride to override obedience.

ایک جن جو عبادت سے فرشتوں کی صف میں پہنچ گیا تھا۔ آدم کو سجدہ کرنے سے انکار کیا — کہا آگ سے ہوں، مٹی سے بہتر ہوں۔ نکالا گیا۔ قیامت تک مہلت مانگی اور ملی۔ انسانیت کو گمراہ کرنے کا اعلان کیا۔ اس کا گناہ تکبر تھا۔
