Story — English
The Quran presents her as one of two women cited as warnings (66:10) — alongside the wife of Lut. She was married to a prophet yet chose disbelief. She betrayed him — scholars say through mockery and revealing his private matters to his enemies. Her closeness to a prophet did not save her. She is a sobering reminder that marriage to a righteous person does not guarantee guidance.
