Reason: Young men who fled their society to preserve their faith; slept in the cave by divine protection; their story is told as an example of faith in resurrection
Story — English
A group of young men (with their dog) who rejected the polytheism of their society and took refuge in a cave. ‘They were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.’ They prayed: ‘Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.’ Allah caused them to sleep for 309 years. When they awoke they thought they had slept a day or part of a day. They sent one with money to buy food, warning him to be quiet about them. The city had changed to a believing community. Their story confirmed the resurrection — a direct divine proof that sleep is a kind of death and waking is a kind of resurrection.
کہانی — اردو
نوجوانوں کی جماعت جو شرک سے بھاگ کر غار میں پناہ لی۔ ‘وہ نوجوان تھے جو اپنے رب پر ایمان لائے’ (18:13)۔ 309 سال سوئے — اٹھے تو سوچا تھوڑی دیر سوئے۔ قیامت کی دلیل بنے۔
